OUR BUSINESS

CARPEL Environment Corporation buys paper scraps and plastic waste from household suppliers of segregated paper waste, community and organizations’ waste disposal projects and scrap materials of paper-based business. Among its major suppliers are the Philippine Daily Inquirer (PDI), Philippines Star, Manila Bulletin, Philippine Journal. tabloid publishers, Asian Development Bank and different government and private institution.
The paper scrap is sorted, baled and delivered to paper mills.
We also buy plastic scrap materials, segregates them according to material type, clean, baled them for transport and storage and process them to plastic pellets as end product.
The company maintains seven (7) warehouses, five (5) for Paper, Two (2) for plastic and two (2) provincial warehouse in Cavite and Pampanga to accommodate suppliers from the south area. Each warehouse has a capacity of 2,000 to 3,000 metric tons storage.
For over twenty-five years, Carpel has become an active member for The Recycling Movement of the Philipppines and continuously affiliated with Clean and Green Metro Manila Federation Environment Cooperative known as LINIS-GANDA.

OUR HISTORY

Formed in 1987, registered as a Single Proprietorship with the Department of Trade and Industries (DTI), the company was under the name CARPEL TRADING whose name was derived from the local term for brown box- “CARTON” and for paper- “PAPEL” combined thus the word CARPEL. It is mainly engaged in the buy and sell of scrap paper/plastic and trucking services. It is owned and operated by JOSE “BONG” JOSON-TEVES JR., a Mechanical Engineer and Vice-Governor of the island-province of Catanduanes
Through the years, it has mastered the business expertise in buy and sell. It has captured households, eco-aides, junk shops and waste/ scrap entrepreneurs from small to big scale as suppliers. Carpel also becomes one of the major suppliers of paper mills and other manufacturing companies using paper scraps as production inputs.
In 2004, CARPEL TRADING becomes a corporate entity and because of its environmental impact, it carried the name of CARPEL ENVIRONMENT CORPORATION.
